What we pay creators, and how it works

A flat base fee when your video goes live, plus a bonus for the views it earns in its first 30 days. Your rate comes from how your posts actually perform, not your follower count.

How payment works

Two parts, both fixed before you film. Nothing here depends on how a post performs against anyone else.

Paid when the video goes live

Base fee

A flat amount for the post itself, within 3 business days of it going live. Yours to keep whatever the video does after that.

Paid after the first 30 days

View bonus

A set amount per 1,000 views, counted pro rata, up to a cap. Measured 30 days after posting, then paid by PayPal.

The cap applies per platform, not per deal.Post the same video to two platforms and each one is measured, and capped, on its own.
Bonuses are paid by PayPal in the payout after the day-30 measurement.The base fee does not wait for any of this.

TikTok and YouTube Shorts pay 0.8x the per-1,000 rate. Instagram is the base rate. Tier 5 is set per creator, so the cap and the ceiling are agreed in writing before you film.

The post stays up for at least 90 daysAfter that it is your call.
Disclose itUse the platform's paid partnership label, or #ad in the caption. FTC rules, not ours.

Handy for finding the open mats you film at, and for showing the thing you are talking about. Not required to work with us, and no part of your rate depends on it.

Questions

Do I need a minimum follower count?: No. Your rate comes from how your content performs, so small accounts with strong engagement qualify.
Do I have to post it myself?: Yes. The deal covers the content and your distribution.
How do I get paid?: Base fee within 3 business days of your post going live. The view bonus lands after the 30-day measurement window, in the next monthly payout.
How do you count views?: The platform's own analytics for the original post only, measured 30 days after posting, counted per platform.
What if my video blows past the cap?: The standard payout stops at the cap, so the deal size is known upfront. When something truly breaks out, we have paid extra before and reserve the right to do it again.
Can I make it in my own style?: That is the whole point. We approve your hook or concept before you film, then it is yours.
Do you provide a script?: Talking points and examples, never a script.
How long does the post stay up?: 90 days minimum. After that it is your call.
Can Open Mat Locator reuse my video?: Yes, for 12 months on our own channels. Running it as a paid ad is a separate checkbox in the agreement.
Can I work with other BJJ brands?: Yes. The only limit is no competing open mat or event discovery apps for 30 days after your post.
Do I need an account on the site?: Yes, a free one. Your sponsored creator badge lives on your profile.
