Open Mat Locator (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when using our platform.

Profile picture, if provided by the login provider

Event and venue addresses you input
General location data used to show nearby gyms or events

Pages visited
Actions taken, such as marking “Going” or creating events
Device and browser information used for basic analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage your account
Allow you to discover and participate in events
Show relevant gyms, events, and locations
Improve the platform and user experience
Communicate important updates related to your account or events

3. Social Login (Google, Apple, Facebook)

We receive basic profile information, such as name and email.
We do not access your contacts, post on your behalf, or access private data.
Your use of those services is also governed by their privacy policies.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data.

With service providers, such as authentication, hosting, or email-delivery providers

To protect the safety and integrity of our platform

5. Activity Surfaced on Your Public Profile

When your username is claimed, anyone who knows your profile URL (openmatlocator.com/u/your-username) can see:

Your past event check-ins
Upcoming events you've RSVP'd to (“Going”)
Events you host

Each of these is on by default and can be turned off independently. To control which sections are public, sign in and visit your profile editor — the “Activity visibility” section has per-tab toggles for check-ins, RSVPs, and hosted events.

You can request an export of your activity data — including past check-ins, RSVPs, and hosted events — by emailing joshuavegahawkins@gmail.com.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure.
